Seafood Scallion Pancake (Haemool Pajeon)

this is a heartier version of the regular Pajeon, loaded up with your favorite seafood and a whisked egg. you can eat this whole panake as a meal, or share it over some Korean drinks like makkeoli or soju. enjoy

Ingredients


1/4 cup corn/potato starch
1/4 cup flour
1/2 cup water
pinch of salt
bundle of scallion (5-6), chopped
handful of: shrimp
sliced fishcakes
shelled clams (you can find this in the frozen section of Hmart!)
*or any seafood of your choice.
1 egg
sliced peppers (optional, for a kick)

1. mix the starch, flour, and water

2. add in all the ingredients, and toss only until lightly coated

3. pick up the coated scallion and seafood with tongs and spread it evenly onto a heated oiled pan

4. decorate the pajeon with sliced peppers if you’d like

5. beat an egg and spread it on top of the pajeon. cook for 10 minutes, on medium heat

6. flip and cook for another 10 minutes.

7. make a dip with a dash of soysauce, vinegar, and sugar, and enjoy!
